HISTORY OF DANDENONG C.A.B

Following a public meeting attended by members of the local community, council, local politicians, service clubs and community organisations, a steering committee was formed to work towards establishing a C.A.B in Dandenong.  The C.A.B. has now been operating for almost 33 years.  It opened on November 6th, 1969 in the Dandenong Town Hall and was located there until February 2001 when the service moved to 186 Foster Street East.  Council initiated this move because of their proposal to turn the Town Hall into a Performing Arts Centre.
